Pharos/PrintIT printing instructions:
To be able to print to an HSL or SPAHP printer, you must have a technician from either HSL, or OLAT setup your computer. The notebooks/tablets issued to students in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions already have the printers installed for the Health Science Library, Criss II Computer Lab 216 and the Pharmacy and Health Professions student lounge in Criss III L51. (A Pharos/PrintIT printer needs to be installed before a print job can be sent to that printer.)
To print:
- From the program you are working in, select File, then Print (or press Ctrl+P) to open up the print window. Make sure you select the correct printer using the drop-down box at the top! You may select any other print options at this time.
When you click OK the Pharos/PrintIT window opens.
- In this window type your NetID and some text which will assist you in identifying your document at the Printer Release Station.
- Optional: you may password protect your print jobs by assigning a temporary password at this point. This will ensure that no one except you can print out your work!
- Go to the Printer Release Station next to the Printer you selected, swipe you Student ID card and follow the instructions on the screen.
- Congratulations! You have successfully printed your work.
Note: If you send a print job and do not go get it, or you choose not to print it out, your print job will be automatically deleted in approximately 10 minutes.
Current printing prices for the Pharmacy and Health Professions student lounge and the Criss II 216 computer lab is .08 per page for black and white and .25 per page for color. The charges are paid by your JayBuck$ on your student ID or a print card. Note: You cannot pay for your printing in cash; you must add money to your Student ID or purchase a print card from card services to print your work. You’re JayBuck$ account is a stored value debit system accessed using your Creighton ID card. It does not cost anything to use JayBuck$ and funds carry over each semester.
Adding funds to your Pharos/PrintIT account
Community:
The easiest way to add funds to your Pharos account is to visit our https://cardservices.creighton.edu website. Students and employees may logon using their NetID and Blue password. Guests can use the Guest Login module to look up a student using the person's name and NetID. The website accepts any card (debit and credit) with a VISA or MasterCard logo.
Card Management centers:
There are four Card Management Centers (CMC) on campus and two Load Value Stations which accept cash 24/7. Each of the libraries has a CMC near the copy machines. There is also a CMC in the Swanson Hall lobby next to the US Bank ATM. The Load Value Stations are located in the Old Gym next to the ground floor vending machines and the Skutt Student Center lower level next to the Credit Union ATM. There is also a Load Value Station located in the front of Criss II 216 computer lab by the print release stations and printers. You may purchase a print card from the CMC for $1.00, the card it’s self costs $0.50 and it will have $0.50 left on the card. You may then add money to the card using the CMC with cash.
Card Services office:
The Card Services Office accepts deposits in person and over the phone during business hours. Payments can be made using cash, check or credit/debit card.

- Click Next.
- If Windows detects your printing device, you can skip most of the remaining steps.
- If your printer is not automatically detected, you will see a window that informs you that Windows was unable to detect any Plug and Play printers. In that case click Next to continue with the setup.
