This document outlines OLAT’s procedure for restricted software installed on a student’s Creighton University SPAHP owned computer and the procedures imposed by OLAT for removing such software..
Details:
Due to the increasing hostility of the Internet, OLAT enforces a procedure for restricted software to help protect your computer, personal information, and the Creighton University network. Software listed in this document is known to, or has the potential to, cause issues with specific software increasing the chance of a computer virus, and identify theft. .
Any applications such as those listed below will be removed without question by OLAT.

Any web browser Toolbar (i.e. Yahoo! Toolbar or Google Toolbar)

Any desktop indexing/search bar/toolbars (i.e. Google Desktop)

Any file sharing applications (i.e. LimeWire, Kazaa, Bearshare, Morpheus, Ares, or iMesh)

Personal antivirus, firewall, or parental control applications (i.e. AVG, Comodo, or Safe Eyes)

Any online gambling software (i.e. Poker or Blackjack)

Any software related to the illegal removal of copyright protection

Due to the rapid nature of Internet development, this is not a complete list of potentially harmful software.
OLAT will clean up your computer and any related side effects, one time at no charge. If you repeatedly install these applications, you may be subject to a $75.00 fee.
